"Tesam evanukampartham aham ajnana-jam tamah, nasayamy atma-bhava-stho jnana-dipena bhasvata." — Out of compassion for them, I, dwelling within their own being, destroy the darkness born of ignorance with the shining lamp of knowledge. Krishna continues the teaching of grace from 10.10, now describing it with one of the Gita's most tender and beautiful images. 'Tesam eva anukampartham' — out of compassion (anukampa) for them (the loving devotees). The Divine acts not from any necessity but purely out of compassionate love for the devotee.
